St. Luke Catholic Church

As part of a larger green infrastructure installation, we planted 32 native trees to create an urban tree canopy at this Ward 7 Church. We teamed up with Casey Trees to host a volunteer tree planting event with more than 40 volunteers from both the church and wider community.

Casey Trees is an urban forestry nonprofit established in 2002 to restore, enhance and protect the tree canopy of the nation’s capital. The organization has planted over 25,000 trees across the District, and it provides trees to anyone in the District at no or low cost.
