Dupont Park Seventh Day Adventist
We returned to this church to plant 13 trees more trees, for a total of 25 new shade trees installed as part of a larger green infrastructure project! The trees will reduce stormwater runoff by capturing and storing rainfall in their canopy and releasing water into the atmosphere through evapotranspiration.
Tree roots and fallen leaves also create soil conditions that promote the water cycle and infiltration of rainwater into the soil.
Trees also improve air quality, reduce summer heat, reduce heating and cooling costs, increase property value, create wildlife habitat, and have aesthetic value that make humans feel good!
