We’re celebrating the 150th anniversary of Arbor Day with the Arbor Day Foundation and Casey Trees!
Green Compass is a small business making big climate investments with the support of DC Green Bank, the Arbor Day Foundation, Casey Trees, and community volunteers! This spring, we’re celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Arbor Day by planting 20 trees with Casey Trees and the church community of Faith United Church of Christ in Ward 5.
Ward 5 has fewer trees and higher vulnerability to climate impacts, such as heatwaves and flooding, compared to other Wards in the District of Columbia, and Green Compass is investing to restore a tree canopy and install 1,100 square feet of new green stormwater infrastructure.
